Fulfil the senses. A journey of renewal for body and mind.
Central Peaks Kurohime is a sanctuary connecting life and memory across the ages.
Some 50,000 years ago, on the shores of Lake Nojiri, Naumann's elephants, giant Yabe deer, wolves and other creatures connected and nurtured life through the ice age. It was a time when humans existed quietly within nature, before prayer became words. Mount Kurohime was a guardian mountain, sustaining life.

Water polished by Mount Kurohime's basalt nourishes the forest and fills the lake. Lake Nojiri receives it all in silence, holding the memory of life's time. Together with Mount Kurohime, unchanged in its presence, it carries memories of life across tens of thousands of years.
Look up, and there is Mount Myoko. Rising sharply into the sky, it harbours fire that at times shakes the earth. Sending up smoke and changing its shape, it reveals nature's power. Peace and awe. Stillness and movement. Here, humans chose simply to honour, pray and live alongside nature. In time this became a tradition of nature worship, connected also to Suwa, binding mountains, lake and people together. Even now, we are quietly welcomed into this cycle of time that has continued since the ancient world.
Mount Kurohime — a mountain where an old tale sleeps within the stillness —

Legend, and a presence. An old tale remains on this mountain: a dragon and a princess fell in love. A beautiful princess named Kurohime, and a dragon dwelling in the lake. Though they could never be united, they continued to think of one another, and are said to have quietly watched over this mountain and lake.
Come here, and invisible gears seem to mesh quietly, guiding our choices naturally towards something better. Mount Kurohime makes us feel that way.
A homecoming that inscribes memories - Lomä Central Peaks -

At the foot of Mount Kurohime, on an elevated hill in Kurohime, stands the luxury resort Lomä Central Peaks. Facing Mount Myoko, also likened to the sacred Mount Sumeru, it is a sanctuary that attunes each guest's time. The moment you step through the entrance, the warmth of the fireplace and the tones of Steinway & Sons announce the beginning of a refined time, and carefully chosen experiences of the highest quality surround you.
At Central Peaks Kurohime, the pleasures of time through the changing seasons are inscribed together with memories.
Kurohime's 24 seasonal divisions

Time turns quietly. Snow loosens and light enters the forest. Water flows and plants begin to bud. In time, flowers bloom, greenery deepens, and the forest fills with the presence of summer. Autumn colours the highlands and brings fruit to the trees. Then everything is quietly wrapped in snow.
Corn, rhubarb, blueberries, apricots, muscat grapes, and apples. Here, seasonal bounty nourishes body and mind alongside the scenery. There is also an old culture of medicinal herbs, and enmeiso. In moments that seem to guide life itself, the five senses are filled.
A journey through bathing waters

Shinshu is a land of mountains. It is said that mountain ascetics who crossed its peaks stood beneath waterfalls, composed themselves with water and, at times, immersed themselves in mountain-village baths, quietly steadying their breath. Water strips away; warm bathing waters bring calm. In this movement back and forth, people conversed with nature.
This journey through bathing waters rests upon that long memory. More than simply entering the waters, it is about meeting them. More than warming, it is about loosening. The waters are cleansing, healing, a place to return to. When outer nature and inner nature overlap, a person quietly returns to themselves.
Immerse yourself in the luxury of time.

Entrust your time to the night sky. As night deepens, Kurohime's sky quietly opens. One, then another: stars appear in the night sky.
Simply look up. There is no need to speak. There is no need to do anything. Watching the stars flicker, forget the passing hours and feel the time flowing within you. You are filled with the luxurious time of doing nothing.
